Atlassian Rebrand

Rebranding Atlassian

I joined Atlassian in 2014 because to me it seemed like a huge blank canvas. However, I was wholly unprepared for the amount of groundwork that would need to be laid before any big beautiful brand moments could occur. While I’d love to be able to say that it was a smooth and efficient process, it was actually fraught with existential questions, false starts, and constant insecurity about whether we were making the right decisions and if we could really pull this off with a small in-house team. Looking back now, it’s obvious that wading through that is actually what helped us build the design culture and trust that made this project not only successful, but possible in the first place. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to play a role in it, as it was a dream project for any brand designer.

I co-wrote a piece about our process here.
